Hi Ms. Baz.. I just have a question about part of my attribute. Does the reality of experience mean determining whether the experience is actual/real? I’ve been writing an entry about the reality of experience for J. Alfred Prufrock and I’m using the dreamlike state of the poem to suggest that the experience of the speakers in the poem is unreal.. Is this a bad understanding of the poem? I just kind of get the notion that this poem is just an imagination.

Actually, I’m sorry. I realized I misinterpreted the poem. If anything, this poem really shows the realistic thoughts and behaviors of human beings, rather than a fantasized one. When the woman says “That is not what I meant at all./That is not it, at all,” I guess there is much reality in a person saying that. Hmmmmm.. so now I’m stuck. Can you give me a little help on how my attribute contributes to The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock. Just a little hint would be fine! Thanks!

NVM I GOT IT! ahhahahahaha sorry I bothered with those 2 long comments hahaha

Why are you sorry? I just got to watch you work your way through a question and emerge with a better understanding. I’m glad I didn’t have the chance to get in the way! 🙂

Ms. Baz, I can’t seem to indent my paragraphs and I know this will conflict with the MLA format you want us to have, so I really don’t know what to do.. Oh, and I’d also like you to read my new post because I’m not sure if my argument is weak because if so, I’d like to fix it up!

7. Ms. Baz - February 6, 2008

Don’t worry about indenting in this medium; just skip a line between paragraphs. That’s perfectly fine. I’ll shuffle over to your blog and check it out.

Daigneault! I don’t have your blog address–you are missing from the Blogroll because you were absent. What is the address of your blog? Does anyone have it?

Ms. Baz I’m sorry but i don’t know how to do this assignment. I know it seems like I’m just doing a last minute excuse but I’m serious. My favorite part of Modernistic Literature is how a poem can be written about one thing but mean something totally different. I’m not able to make these comparisons. Would you like me to simply analyze other people’s comparisons such as the one of “The Hollow Man” and the man’s comparison to sex? I really don’t want to change my favorite part because this really is. I like it a lot. Can you help?

Umm… I never got those other peices that we read and the only ones you have links to are Wasteland and the Killers. Wasteland was good, but using The Killers for my attribute will be a bit of a stretch. I’m a late trainwreck, but if you can help me at all, I’d really appreciate it.

Mrs. Baz I need you to check out my changes on my Blogs. I want to make sure I am doing this right.

Mrs. Baz, Drapeau here just wondering if you could look at my post on “The Hollow Men” and tell me what you think. If you could also tell me how to improve it I would appreciate the input.
